Entry Self-Audit
Upload your broker's ES-003 entry summary and re-run every line through the full Chapter 99 duty engine — flag potential duty over- or underpayment and missing tariff codes before they cost you.
Open the Entry Self-Audit →What this tool does
Entry Self-Audit lets an importer of record check its own filed entries. You upload the ES-003 (Entry Summary Line Tariff Details) export from CBP's ACE portal, and the tool re-runs every tariff line through ETDETA's own Chapter 99 tariff-stacking engine, then compares the modeled duty against what your broker actually paid — line by line.
Each line is flagged Potential overpayment (potentially recoverable), Potential underpayment (duty potentially owed), Missing / extra Chapter 99 codes, or Additional information required, with a layer-by-layer, reproducible breakdown so you can see exactly where the declared duty differs. Figures are modeled estimates of the layers we can price — take any finding to your licensed customs broker.
Who should use it
Importers of record, trade-compliance and finance teams reviewing their own filed entries for duty errors, refund opportunities and missing tariff codes before liquidation or protest deadlines.
What data it checks
- Every tariff line in your ES-003 export, re-priced through the Chapter 99 stacking engine.
- Declared duty vs. modeled expected duty, per line and per layer.
- Missing or extra Chapter 99 (9903) codes — e.g. Section 301 / 232 / IEEPA layers.
- Layer-by-layer deltas with concrete PSC / protest deadline references.
How to use it
- Export your ES-003 (Entry Summary Line Tariff Details) report from ACE, or get it from your broker.
- Upload or paste the CSV — it is processed for this audit only and not stored.
- Review each line flagged Potential overpayment, Potential underpayment, Missing-code or Additional-information-required, with the layer-by-layer math.
- Take any finding to your licensed customs broker to file a PSC or protest.
What the results mean
- A per-line audit: Potential overpayment / Potential underpayment / Missing-code / Additional information required, with modeled exposure and recovery totals.
- A reproducible layer-by-layer table (expected vs. filed vs. delta) for each flagged line.
- Suggested next step (PSC vs. protest) with deadline references to verify.

What this tool does not determine
- It checks additional-tariff (Chapter 99) layers only, and figures are modeled estimates of the layers we can price — the true delta may be larger.
- It does not verify your HTS classification, customs value or country of origin, and does not cover AD/CVD.
- Conditional lines (e.g. Section 301) and 'info required' lines are not resolved and are not zero — verify them with CBP / official sources.
- A 'no discrepancy detected' result does not mean the entry is fully compliant. It does not file PSCs or protests and is not customs-broker, legal or tax advice.
