Lithium Hexafluorophosphate From China

Origins: CN
📌 ETDETA brief — importer impact summary (educational)

Brief takeaway: The ITC has discontinued its preliminary antidumping and countervailing duty investigations on lithium hexafluorophosphate from China after the petitioner withdrew its petitions, so no new duties result from these cases.

What changed: According to the notice, the petitioner (Mexichem Fluor Inc. dba Orbia Fluor & Energy Materials) submitted a letter on April 14, 2026 withdrawing its petitions. The notice states that Commerce did not initiate investigations under the cited Tariff Act provisions, and the Commission therefore discontinues Investigation Nos. 701-TA-790 and 731-TA-1778 (Preliminary).

Who's affected: The notice names lithium hexafluorophosphate as the subject product and cites China (CN) as the country of origin. No HTS codes are specified in the notice.

What to review:
- Review whether your imported product matches the "lithium hexafluorophosphate from China" scope described in the notice.
- Confirm with your customs broker that no antidumping or countervailing duty deposits or case numbers currently attach to these goods following discontinuance.
- Check whether any related or successor petitions or investigations may later arise on the same product.
- Confirm the proper HTS classification for your specific goods, since the notice does not state one.
